For The Love Of The Garment
Before pursuing his dream in suiting clients in luxury garments, Michael-David, founder of HABE, has always cherished his community. Growing up, he would hear stories about his family’s lineage of tailors and fashion designers. His grandmother would also encourage him to look presentable for every occasion, even if he had no interest to comply.
In his teenage years, he would watch his grandmother and great-grandmother create and alter garments. This led him to discover what drives their generational passion. Everything was done with a selfless devotion for someone other than themselves. As a young adult, he developed his creative niche and became a stylist at a renowned suit company. This cultivated his zeal for fashion and his fondness for tending to his customers’ specific needs.
Throughout the course of time, his drive to cultivate high quality garments for his clients became more than a passion but a “HABE”, hobby. Before officially launching his fashion brand, he became one of the top custom specialists nationwide in the company; however, a year later the company shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Not even the COVID-19 pandemic could discourage the aspirations of the upcoming designer. His natural inclination for providing customers a high-quality garment evolved to “HABE” by Michael-David.
I have always had the keen ability to insert myself into any social setting like a social chameleon. This inspired my fascination in the psychology of consumers at an early age. During my undergraduate education at Florida Atlantic University, I launched multiple business ventures to improve my understanding of the consumer’s mind and expand my ability to apply that understanding into my practice. Since then, I have used my collective expertise to market brands such as ESPN, the New York Islanders, and many more. Michael-David and I share the same outlook on not only business, but also life itself! I am honored to invest my all behind a brand and a man that I wholeheartedly believe in!
